Downtown Dining is a annual walking tour of Burlington's finest Downtown restaurants in support of Creative Burlington.
The afternoon event is divided into different tours, each featuring five restaurants with a sampling of food and alcoholic beverages at each stop along with a fabulous local performer. Downtown Dining is on July 11th check back later for more information on the event or visit www.downtowndining.ca.
Creative Burlington made the arts come alive in Burlington at Night at the GALAria on Saturday, January 30th. With a blending of paintings, music and theatre, 200 people joined in the celebrations at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Trevor Copp, Brenda Byers and Justine Aveyard brought three famous painting to life through their performances as an actor, storyteller and ballet dancer, while Burlington Student Theatre and Samantha Mallette accented the venue with live statues and moving tables serving appetizers and desserts. The event raised $11,000 for Creative Burlington and will be used to bring awareness of the richness of our arts community through programming, promotion and education.
